When you take a step outside, you’ll realize there’s a town teeming with life and fun activities.
Gordon’s Bay’s claim to fame is its fantastic beach that features numerous storefronts and stalls. On the beach proper, you’ll find most vacationers setting up umbrellas and tanning in the sun. Further down the south side, you’ll find more secluded spots for those who like the quiet.
Opposite the beach you’ll find Gordon’s Bay’s famous Bikini Books secondhand bookstore. The walls and even the floors are lined with books on every topic. And all are extremely affordable.
The beachfront hosts a Spur which is a staple for any South African looking for a good meal. Dotted around town, you’ll find smaller restaurants unique to Gordon’s Bay. If you need a drink with some very friendly locals, the Thirsty Oyster Tavern proven to be a Gordon’s Bay favorite for over 13 years.
